The arrogance of Mayor Dalton knows no bounds.

Bruce from Napier South

It is a Westminster parliamentary convention that in the event of an equal or tied vote that the speaker or chairperson or in our case mayor does not vote but refers the matter back to the chamber or committee for further discussion to reach a majority vote.

In the case of a Mayors vanity big spending project this convention should be respected even more. Of course I am referring to the proposed new swimming pool complex to be sited on Prebensen Drive and Dalton's use of his casting vote to achieve this.

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.
