Can u help me? I have been having trouble breathing for the last 3 or so months...so bad that walking to the clothes line can be unbearable...ive been to my GP who listened to my chest, lungs, etc and said they were clear...my oxygen levels were 98°..fine...she told me that i had a viral infection but gave me antibiotics just in case i got so peed off that i would take them and they would miraculously fix me...that was over a month ago...in the last 2 days i came down with flu like symptoms feeling incredibly feeble but incredible pain in my lower back and sides (lung area)..i suffered terribly from bronchitis as a child and have had pleurisy before.
Against my anti-antibiotic taking stance, i caved as i was coughing up green gunk knowing i had a chest infection...after copious amounts of vitamins, fluids and cough suppressant, after 12hrs am feeling alive again...am still coughing up very "stuck phlegm" from my lungs but at the minute my breathing feels alot better! I was thinking that maybe, for the last long 3+ months, the crap on my lungs was so stuck it couldnt be shifted...
I was terrified that i may have emphaschema as i have smoked for 30 yrs...i do realise this is NOT GOOD..
Any ideas..you may not be qualified to diagnose, but any information would be greatly appreciated...
Im not sure what my peak flow reading is but it wouldnt b too flash..
Look forward to your input ...
Greatly appreciated...
