Join us at Napier Big Dog Walk this Saturday!
All dog owners, dogs, family and friends are welcome to join the Big Dog Walk starting at 930am this Saturday 22 April. Purpose is to bring groups of dogs together and go for a walk in a safe environment. Trek begins at 945am on south side of Aquarium, then moves to the Soundshell and back. No entry fee, just a gold coin donation that will go to the Napier SPCA. Treats for dogs and humans on route, fun activities and food stalls. More info: Facebook.com/events/274236929660299. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
