Spring Market
It's Spring - or at least next Saturday 1st September is the official first day of spring. The weather is going to be good and Magpie Market is on again from 10am - 2pm. We will have all the old favorite stalls and some great new ones so how about coming along to spend a pleasent hour browsing, chatting to stall holders (pop in and see our Stall of the Month and chat to Caroline), and having a great sausage sizzle or coffee and a treat from Heavens Bakery caravan. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
