Severe weather watch for the Hawkes Bay
A spring storm bringing gales and snow to parts of New Zealand has disrupted ferries, closed skifields in the south, and caused slips
MetService has issued the following warning for the heavy rain watch for the Hawkes Bay area, especially about the ranges.
Valid: 31 hours from 11:00am Tuesday to 6:00pm Wednesday
Forecast: Periods of heavy rain. Rainfall accumulations could approach warning amounts.
The New Zealand Transport Agency advised drivers to pass with care and expect some delays. People are also advised to stay up to date with the latest forecast as part of this watch may be upgraded to a full warning, and further areas added.
