Perhaps you're a first-time home owner who has opted to build, rather than buy pre-existing, or maybe you're seasoned home owners who have taken the first step to create your own dream home.
We'd love to hear from you about the challenges involved in building, and why you've opted to take that route. Any interviewees would need to be willing to be identified and photographed in a news story.

It not only helps us to continue the work we do but also raises awareness of the supportive services we provide.
Street collecting is a wonderful and fun way for you to be a part of something bigger. Meet and greet people in your community and encourage them to donate to a great cause. By donating your time, you’re making a real difference in people’s lives. It’s up to you when you want to volunteer - the time commitment is flexible, depending on your availability.
We are currently looking for volunteers that are available from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st March in Hastings, Havelock North, Taradale and Napier. We are also looking for businesses and/or groups that may be able to take a site for a block of time.
Sign up today through the New Zealand Red Cross website by clicking on the "Read More" button under this text and your local Red Cross Appeal Coordinator will be in touch.
Thank you for your support.

There are many more. If the temperatures we have lately are anything to go by, we just might be needing cardigans or boleros this year. We are lucky in that we have quite a few wool shops in the Bay and if you don't have any fine needles in your stash, the Op Shops have loads.
