Napier/Hasting traffic delays
Hi there. My son in law is working for a transport firm. They are encountering huge delays getting goods over to Napier. What that means is our goods are going to get much much dearer!!!!
ONE SOLUTION.
If you work and live in two different cities, please look into staying with family members in your city of work.. WE HAVE TO EASE THE CONGESTION SO THAT AMBULANCES AND VITAL WORKERS (AS WELL AS GOODS VEHICLES) CAN MAKE IT ACROSS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
To those WHO HAVE A SPARE ROOM. please consider opening it up for a reasonable price to those working in a different city to where they live.
THIS PROBLEM IS LONG TERM SO LETS ALL THINK OF SOLUTIONS.
Once prices go up, they likely won't come back down again.
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
