Rates Rise for chlorinated water.
NCC estimates that water projects will cost the ratepayers $20 million - there is no plan to remove the chlorine - and NCC is asking for a rates increase of 6.4%. In contrast Christchurch is spending $35 million upgrading their water supply and 98% of their network will be chlorine-free by mid-winter. Christchurch has 146 wells and Napier has only 10 wells. Why do the supermarkets and others sell green potatoes. They are toxic and should be covered with a sack or something dark so the light doesn't get to them.
