Poll: Too many tourists?

Reporter Franklin County News

Hi neighbours, in a recent Stuff opinion article Lorna Thornber reveals we have been dropped from Lonely Planet's top countries list.

However, with a record-breaking 3.7 million international visitors visiting our shores in the 12 months ending October 2017, one in five Kiwis feels the country already attracts too many tourists.

Thornber argues we don't need the likes of Lonely Planet directing more people to our shores. Or want it.

What do you think? Does New Zealand attract so many tourists that it spoils it for the rest of us?
