Whangarei SPCA has got a great many adorable cats and kittens and our cages are overflowing, so we are reducing our cat and kitten prices for the next two weeks. Adult Cats over 5 months $60, Kittens under 5months $110 and a bonded pair of kittens $200. They are all desexed, microchipped, have had at least their first vaccination and been treated for worms and fleas. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
