What do you think of the fire service urging people not to light fires in lockdown?
Fire and Emergency NZ is urging people not to light outdoor fires in lockdown, after having to attend to 26 fires since lockdown began on Wednesday morning. Wipari Henwood, area manager for Muri Whenua/Far North says each time there is a call-out, firefighters - who are mostly volunteer - risk breaking their isolation bubble. He urges people to hold off on lighting any fires until after alert level 4 lifts. What do you think?
