Missing dog Ruatangata West

Andrea from Rural West Whangarei

I am writing on behalf of our neighbours and we would appreciate your help. Please call or text to: 0274 696141. Thanks so much!!!

"Feeling pretty sad at home tonight, our wee miniature sausage dog “Jenny” is missing. She took off hunting a rabbit yesterday with “Bruce the dog” and only Bruce returned home. She’s an old dog, just turned 11 and has always been an avid rabbit hunter, who was still getting rabbits at home last week( actually annoying at times because she used to sneak off any chance she could get!).
Anyway this time she headed into the neighbors bush and hasn’t made it back.
I’m hoping the Facebook world might help locate her. Fairly certain she was heading west of our place through the bush towards Ruatangata. If there’s anyone out there who saw an old tan coloured miniature sausage dog and a black springer spaniel x boarder collie yesterday afternoon please let me know.
I know full well she could be buried inside a rabbit hole or perhaps even shot but I’d like to know. It’s awful not knowing where she is.
We searched the bush area and some paddocks tonight but haven’t seen her.
Just hoping someone out there may have seen her."
