Concert
1. Kowhai Singers, conducted by Amy Cottingham will present a Christmas Concert on the 12th December at Warkworth Town Hall commencing at 7pm. The choir will perform a selection of both new and traditional Carols and the audience will be invited to sing along with the choir on some well known carols. Our special guest artist will be Violinist Marika Balzat, who will perform with Amy Cottingham at the piano. Marika will also accompany the choir on several choir pieces along with accompanist Fiona Strathern.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
