Carpet Overlocking Business for sale - Could be added to an existing business or may suit a retiree wanting some extra cash.
Time spent would be approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.
Offer a service to cut up left over carpets, overlock around the edges and make into mats or floor coverings.
Brilliant way of using up left over carpets
Sell to the end-users and all the local carpet stores.
Very well known, have been operating in Masterton since 2006, so approximately a 16 year old business.
Good range of wool colours to match the varying fashions, new and old carpets that come in.
Large table for working on, to cut to size and overlock on, which butts up to the Overlocker to support the mat while sewing around it.
Also included:
Shelves to store the wool on;
Stand to hold finished carpet mats;
Trolley to hold workgear etc.;
Straight edges, square, tape measure and scissors etc..
Would be a great add-on to an existing business.
May suit an ex-carpet layer as would be used to handling carpet.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
