Lambs! Chickens Spring flowers! Fun activities!

Top tip here for school holiday fun - down on the farm day at Cobblestones Saturday 3 October Ride the Fire Engine from the Town Hall or stroll down to Cobblestones at 169 Main Street, Greytown. Meet lambs and chickens as well as experience some of the ways our early settlers’ celebrated spring. See washer women showing you how our pioneers washed their clothes, try your hand at old fashioned crafts and games. See spinners in the woolshed and make a mini sheep with some of the wool. Try your hand at milking
the model cow. To help celebrate spring there will be a display of beautiful locally grown flowers from Van der Put Flowers of Greytown with gorgeous Victorian posies and other flowers to buy.
Spot the early settlers walking around in costume.
Cobblestones’ famous Devonshire teas (and coffees) will be available as well as BBQ sausages and other goodies. . A great day out to keep everyone enjoying school holidays. Entry is by donation s. Open from 10am until 4pm with the activities from 11am until 3pm

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
