It’s everybody’s responsibility to speak out and keep each other safe right now. If you think something is not ok with a friend, neighbour, or colleague, it’s okay to call Police on their behalf. The person you’re worried about may not be able to speak up for themselves. You could be saving a life.

My research shows it is … View moreI say #2 as I have written quite a lot about Buckthorn that is rife in Carterton, but have all but eliminated from our property. Now Yarrow. Quite a bit in our lawn and in the berms in Lincoln Road Carterton. Often seen in roadsides when in flower, see pictures below. My research shows it is encouraged overseas and has some redeeming qualities, one is the use of its foliage providing good results on bleeding cuts when no sticking plaster is handy. I have a Lawnboy Sprayer and plan to give my lawn a treatment and have learnt that Dicamba that is in Turfix could have a good result. Hard to remove manually as its rhizomes (heavy stems that grows underground) are hard to remove completely. It was introduced as a component for pastures in New Zealand owing to its high mineral content and drought resistant properties but of course unwanted in our lawns! If anyone has other information to add that could be helpful, let me know.

Also she was told the reason why there is no flour on the shelf is because the mill has run out of 1.5 and 3kg bags to pack in.

You can help to reduce the amount of flooding by giving the drains in your street or on your property a sweep every now and then.
Easter weekend is looking a bit wet, so while you’re at home during this lockdown, why not get out and clear leaves and rubbish from on and around stormwater sumps?

On my bike about 8 am and small dark brown brindle coloured female dog on the road in Chester Road. Friendly but no collar and looked lost when I said go home. Tried 0800 SPCA number but long queues to get through. On the road itself so worried about her. Also cow out on Norfolk Road.
