A ParaBeam is a great way to be notified if anyone enters your property. Can cover areas of importance such as driveways, gates, common entry spots, and garages. The base receiver can integrate with many alarm systems, consolidating your security into one.

The ParaBeam system utilizes strong and reliable solar-powered beams to detect if a car or person crosses it, and sends a signal to the base receiver alerting the owner that someone has entered. These systems can be installed into many places, with a range of up to 300m between the beams (the area you want to monitor), and 2.5km from the beam to the base receiver (in the house or office). Standard installation has a range of 40m for the beam and 400m for the receiver. With a selection of various models, we can find a solution for your needs.

Starting from $1199.

Optional extras include:
• Pagers and radios to alert multiple people on-site
• GSM module to send a text when the beam is broken
• Up to four total ParaBeams per base receiver
• Additional remote alarm to cover another area of the house or workplace

Inquire via phone or in-store to discuss your needs and solutions.

Price: $1,199

Our waterways and all the fish and species that live in them are precious taonga, so we have set out to understand how they are valued and what should be done to provide the future we want for our water.

To me, this Whaitua project is a journey where we can apply our experience and values, and develop a vision that enhances the mana of the whenua, the tangata whenua and the whole community.
We need you to be part of our journey on the Whaitua Project. This is a journey to improve the health and mauri of our waterways, we need to fix our waste and stormwater network. These are big changes, and needs to reflect our communities’ views informed by good evidence and information.

Connect with us to talk about what we can do together. You can reach us at whaitua@gw.govt.nz. To see what we have been doing visit our Facebook page, and to share what you value about our water and your solutions have your say by following the link below.

After reading the 2-page spread in the Midweek from David Borman promoting development of the Town Hall space (which he would potentially benefit from) I am concerned no one presents actual evidence proving there is a need for new facilities.
I object to paying more in my rates for such development:
our rates need to be conserved for dealing with the issues the galloping rate of subdivision and new housing are bringing. They put pressure on our basic infrastructure (water, waste disposal and so on). These are the areas where our spending will need to be directed, rather than on luxuries such as "ballrooms".
