Bearded Irises are easy to grow, are sun lovers and don't mind drying out .They come up year after year, growing about a metre high and dying down to 30 cms or so above ground level over the winter. They multiply by sending out pups from the flowering Rhizome.
The names are (left to right) Edith Wolford, Autumn Prince, Habit, Irwell Ballet and Sky and Sun.

Looks stunning in a clump.
Bearded iris love the sun and well drained soil. Frost hardy and come up every year with their blooms in November.

This trundler bed was bought new, used for a couple of months then our son met and married a lovely English girl and the beds have been in storage in a smoke free home in side the house for at least ten years.

This trundler bed was bought new, used for a couple of months then our son met and married a lovely English girl and the beds have been in storage in a smoke free home in side the house for at least ten years.
They are in 'as new' condition.
The top bed would be a king single the bottom bed a single.
The bottom bed has legs which fold out and bring the bed up to normal height.
I'm sorry I haven't got a photo of the bottom bed with the legs up as I've only just found out that was an option.
I took these photos 5 years ago when I moved into a small house knowing that once the bed was in the house it would be difficult to get out and photograph .
The last photo shows the fold up legs in the trundle bed.
The mattresses are clean. No wear and tear or stains.

The 3 at the back are one metre tall height and the three in the front are 30cms tall plants when fully grown.
Bearded Iris are hardy plants that enjoy sunbathing and like to be frosted too to harden the rhizome that sits on top of the ground. They come up year after year and provide nice structure with their grey green sword like leaves the rest of the year. Spectacular, look at me, plants that come in every colour except brick red. If anyone could hybridise a brick red bearded iris they would be come famous.
