Waiwaste
Today sees the launch of Waiwaste Carterton's new initiative -Te Kete Atawhai meaning 'the basket of generosity'.
Supported by Council and the Carterton Lions, the new food pantry is for the community to easily donate surplus fruit, vegetables, and non-perishable items at any time of the day.
Waiwaste volunteers will pass on the donated goods to local community organisations including the Carterton Food Bank. If you are able to donate, please visit Te Kete Atawhai, located at the back door of Haumanu House (down the lane between Carters and the town clock).
