Te Kāuru - Flood Management Chat & BBQ
The Te Kāuru Upper Ruamāhanga Floodplain Management Subcommittee is seeking submissions on its draft Floodplain Management Plan to manage current and future risks to flooding and erosion in the Te Kāuru catchment. There will be a BBQ on the go and activities for the kids, so swing by and say hi.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Builder Wanted or seeking builder (LBP).
We are looking for a semi-retired builder or solo LBP to supervise / co-work with me while I undertake an extension project as a self-build . Rates to be negotiated prior to commencement. Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
