Massive new mural in Masterton! Check it out, it's almost finished.

Piers Fuller Reporter from News of Wairarapa

A huge Kokomai Mural is going up in Masterton this week in Bannister Street at the back of Warehouse Stationery.
Artist Gina Kiel said:
"My piece is inspired by the original name of the central Masterton - Whakaoriori - After learning about this I was immediately inspired, as a mother, I myself
have sat with my baby and listened to the birds while singing him to sleep. I feel a great sense of calm every time I visit the Wairarapa, I have visited with
my son many times and I feel honoured to create art here in this central area of Masterton which has much meaning."

Local students were also down on site having a workshop in “graffiti art”

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
Thanks Phil
