The steamer isa healthy way to cook verges and the sold base is great for warming or thawing food . So a whole meal can be cooked or warmed on one stove element.

Hi neighbours,

How about those Phoenix?!

The Wellington Phoenix came from behind to beat the Mariners on the weekend to extend their unbeaten record to eight games - their best ever run in their history. Saturday's game also saw our Kiwi A-League team play in front of 10,186 spectators - their best crowd in recent years.

New coach Mark Rudan has been widely credited with rejuvenating the team - read his passionate post-game thoughts here.

Did you head along to the stadium to support the boys on the weekend?

Are you back on the bandwagon? Or did you never get off?

We agreed we'd ask the Community Board to consider allowing our group to kickstart an initial garden on the vacant site. The plants would be in containers (possible low-side skips) to enable them to be moved. We think Featherston needs something showy to attract attention on the Main Street and the try to position us as the sustainable (no-spray) growers centre of the South Wairarapa. The idea would be to start here, then to expand to allotment gardens for interested people in the community. We'll be putting these ideas forward at the Community Pot Luck on Sunday at Anzac Hall, 2-4 PM. Please come and add your support!
