Pukaha Mt Bruce are holding their annual fundraising Garden Tour on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November. They need volunteers to greet the public, provide directions and keep an eye on proceedings to keep the tour fun and successful.
Volunteers will be stationed at one of 11 gardens, mostly around Masterton with a handful in Eketahuna.
Hours are 9.30am to 4.30pm, split into morning and afternoon shifts. Volunteers are given a free ticket to the event, so you can visit the other gardens over the rest of the weekend.

Now it is just the way Kiwis roll, with a raft of dog-friendly dining options available throughout the country. What do you think? Should dogs be allowed in cafes?

I have put pictures of some of the Dwarf bearded irises that I have for sale at $8 for a little clump of at least two, probably more rhizomes. They will be trimmed and ready to plant and should put on good growth through the Summer, ready for flowering next season. They are already conditioned to the Wairarapa climate which is an advantage.
The dwarf Irises grow no taller than about 30 or 40 cms. I do have names for most of them.
They look lovely on a border edge, in a rockery, and do well in pots too.
Easy to grow , they do like a well drained position and at least 5 hours sun a day.
The Tall bearded irises are just coming into flower now and you are welcome to view those.
All the irises pictured here are dwarf to Medium sized irises. I plan to list the Talls later.
Thanks for looking.
Pickup is in Kuripuni.
Price: $8

Does anyone go here regularly or looking for a gift for someone? I'm about to move out of Carterton and have found a voucher I bought for myself (to force me to get pampered) but haven't used it. It's $100 voucher and would like to get at least $70 for it.

Hi,
does anyone know when rubbish will be collected in Carterton for Labour Weekend? Is it business as usual?
Thanks
