Have a happy and safe Christmas from the Red Cross shop. Thank you to all our customers for supporting the Red Cross shop in Dargaville this last year. It’s been a difficult year and we hope you all have a well earned rest with family and friends. We will be normal hours up to Christmas and closed on the 25th and 26th of December. We will be open with limited hours from the 27th to the 31st of December and closed January 2nd. We will reopen again 3rd January.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

It's a delightful book with lovely illustrations by Julianne Edwards. The author, Jenny Roberts, re-tells some memorable events involving donkeys. Suitalbe for 3 to 7 yr olds it's a must buy.
