QUIZ NIGHT next Wednesday
Quiz night at the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club. Come as a single, or make up your own team. Gail is a well-known quiz mistress and is sure to make it a fun night. This is one of the prizes so you can get your garden into shape for the summer, a kind donation from Mitre 10 Mega and it is in aid of the Bursary BPW Franklin gives to a women going into tertiary education next year. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
