Have you heard of Abbeyfield? www.abbeyfield.co.nz... it is an alternative to the many developing/developed retirement homes built for the wealthy. There are many people in our society who will not be able to afford the capital outlay for these retirement homes but may want to be in a friendly community as they age. Abbeyfield has some answers and it would be a welcome addition to the choices available in Franklin. Are there people in Franklin who would like to set up a group to investigate the possibilities of building an Abbeyfield home in Franklin.
