Police training exercise tomorrow
On Tuesday 30 July, Police will be undertaking a training exercise at the old Wood Hatton School, 56 Wood St, Wainuiomata, Wellington.
There will be an increased Police presence in the area between the hours of 8am and 4pm. This presence will include staff carrying firearms.
During these times, nearby residents may hear loud bangs coming from the venue.
Police would like to reassure residents in the area that there is no cause for concern, as this is a routine training exercise.

Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
