You are most welcome to join us for our meeting and morning tea next Friday.18th July. Our guest speaker will be Tracey Martin, CEO Aged Care Association and ex Minister for Seniors. The Aged Care Assn is a powerful advocate, making sure the aged care sector gets the support it needs to provide excellent care for older New Zealanders. We met at the Senior Citizens Rooms which are on the left as you enter Queensgate Woolworths car park. Our members enjoy a range of benefits which are outlined at www.greypower.co.nz.... Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
