Colourful New Art to Cheer Up Your Living Room
Opening this weekend at Artspace Gallery on the Petone Foreshore, is a bright and cheerful new exhibition by Stephanie Crisp. Stephanie's popular paintings often feature portside houses with boats in harbours painted from her memory. She also enjoys painting Canterbury scenes on canvas, captured in wonderful atmospheric moods and painted in free and textured brush strokes which follow the lie of the land.
Whilst you enjoy the new exhibition, you can also check out the wide selection of new art contributed by over 100 other local artists as well as our unique and wide range of locally made gifts.
Thanks for your support of our amazing local artists and local business.
Our gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday 10.30am - 4pm.

Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
