It is my entry for this week's Art of Birding Challenge "Sense", which had to highlight one of the five senses - I've gone for "taste". What kid hasn't stuck their tongue out in the rain or snow?"

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
