The Polish Festival is coming back to Hutt City
This is a free event for families featuring traditional Dance, Music, Food and Craft. Come and enjoy hot polish food and sit back and enjoy a variety of performances throughout the day.
Where: St Bernard’s College gymnasium, 183 Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt
When: Sunday 2 May 11am to 4pm
The Polish Association in New Zealand Inc. has run a regular festival over many years. This year we are back in Hutt City. Our children and young adults will be dancing to traditional Polish tunes wearing authentic costumes. Throughout the day, we will be serving hot Polish foods such as our famous pierogi. You can listen to music from eastern Slavic traditions; check out sales of artisan crafts and view our Polish history exhibits.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
