Borer Infestation
Post 3 of 6: Possible Pest Problems When Insulating Your Home
As we discussed in our May newsletter, borer can get very nasty if it isn't treated. Borer gets right into the framework of your home or building, therefore running the risk of collapse - especially if it's prominently in the roof and walls. If there's signs of rats and/or mice, such as droppings or "nibbles" out of things such as cables, or if you see signs of borer when you go to have a look at your insulation, it's time to act - and fast! If these pests are left in residence, you run the risk not only of building collapse, but also of fire from exposed wiring the pests have feasted upon.
The next 3 posts in this series have some helpful information on how to spot borer, rats and mice, and if you think you have a pest problem make sure you call us on 0800-99-PEST.
