Factory fire: buildings evacuated in Seaview, Lower Hutt
Police are warning motorists to avoid Seaview Rod in Petone, which has been closed at both ends. Buildings surrounding a metal factory in Seaview, Lower Hutt, are being evacuated as smoke spreads from a large fire.
Fire and Emergency are responding to the large blaze at Macaulay Metals in Seaview, which was first reported about 6.45am.
