Water outage: Sunny Grove, Wainuiomata
Some residents in Sunny Grove, Wainuiomata, may have experienced a water outage early this afternoon.
We apologise for any inconvenience and frustration this is causing, as it is the third burst in the area within three days.
Our crews are currently on site, have isolated the burst and are making repairs. They've turned off the valve to make the repairs, so about 80 properties are currently affected and have no water.
The crews have bottled water available on site which affected residents can collect, whilst we work to make these urgent repairs.
Work is expected to take up to 6 hours, and all properties should have water running about 7pm tonight.
Once the water is back on you will need to flush the pipes for about 20 minutes.
You can check for updates about the outage here: wellingtonwater.co.nz...
If you continue to experience issues after 7pm please contact your local council (04 570 6666) and report it.
Thank you for your ongoing patience as we carry out these repairs and investigate this issue.
