Should it be illegal to ride a bike without a helmet?

Despite having been the law for almost a quarter of a century, thousands of cyclists are thumbing their nose at wearing a helmet.
Figures show 29,399 fines have been issued to cyclists for failing to wear their helmet over the past four years, prompting some people to call for a law change.
What do you think? Should we change the law and make it legal to cycle without a helmet? Why or why not? If you don't want your comments printed in our paper, add NFP at the end.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
