SPCA Pet of the Day: Meet Carlos
"Hi everyone, My name is Diego and I am a very stunning young boy. I am a great dog who loves to have cuddles, I love to have humans around me. Due to my young age I would be better for me to go to a home that has no young children. I can be a little shy with new people and then I am a bouncy bean. I would be fine for me to go to a home with teenagers.
So far I had a little bit of training, I am a bit uncoordinated and jumpy. With training, we both need to start from scratch. I am very willing to learn. You will see me blossom from an uncoordinated boy to a very well trained dog that will stick by your side. I need to be introduced to the world slowly as it can be a little overwhelmingly for me. I am great with other dogs at the centre and love to play. A home with a slightly older dog would mix well with me, so they can show me the ropes on how to be the best dog. Begonia house to be demolished at botanic gardens
It's outrageous that the Wellington City Council are going to demolish the Begonia house at the Botanic gardens. This is an asset. One would have thought the green faction of the council would have supported fixing it. It's strange no one has questioned the price required to fix it. Cycle ways more important than begonia house i think not
