The Government is proposing reforms to three water services| in New Zealand. Although this is a Government process and we have limited influence over the outcome, we’re interested to hear directly from you to better understand the views of Lower Hutt about the Government’s proposals.

We’ll use insights from this survey to inform our submission to Parliament when the reform legislation is introduced. You can also make your own submission – we’ll provide more information about this process closer to the time.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
