HVHS Homecoming Show
The Hutt Valley Horticultural Society, Rose Society and associated groups have had a great first day for their homecoming show at the Lower Hutt Event Centre. So many beautiful and interesting plants on display. Whilst roses are a particular feature, other plants on display include orchids, cacti & succulents, fuchsia's, begonia's, bonsai, edible plants and more. Show continues on Sunday.

But for Emma Muller, it has also turned into an opportunity to celebrate her late daughter Nicola, who died 19 years ago at the age of 37.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
