Friday Feathered Friend

Reporter Community News

A fantastic photo by Simon Woolf.

"Talk about special! Our garden had a lovely fleeting visit this morning.
I heard the tune, and knew instantly it wasn't a Tui!
A Korimako, our native Bellbird are often heard but rarely seen. To have one flitting around our place was so wonderful to see, and hear. The blue around the Korimako's bill and face is pollen from our native fuschia. Over the past few days the luck I've had in our garden has been amazing. Karori is one great place to see a range of native, and sometimes rare and beautiful wildlife."
