Laughalots coming to Porirua
Hi All,
I'm the guy that's building the new Laughalots Playland in Porirua, just out the back of North City.
I'm starting to build our "Social Hub" business model which is all about sharing our great space and facilities with other small businesses so we can create a place where many businesses can provide many services to our community.
First two opportunities are for food providers and childcare service providers.
I'm keen to make contact with any food providers who could make use of our commercial kitchen. Renting by the hour on a one-off or regular basis. I want that kitchen to be used 24/7.
I'm also keen to talk with childcare providers who could perhaps set up a CBD facility to look after children while their mum and dad go shopping.
We also have 4 Party Rooms that, when they're not hosting fantastic birthday parties could be used as Pop-up Stores to help you sell your product.
There's loads of opportunities here, so if you're interested in discussing how your business could benefit from working with us, please get in touch either through FB or email david@omlp.nz.
Cheers,
David

We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️
We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
