Prices for fruit and vegetables were 17% higher in February than a year earlier - and costs are likely to up even more due to Cyclone Gabrielle. A growing number of Wellingtonians have joined their local fruit and vege co-ops where they can get fresh product much cheaper. Beautiful day, met lots of tourists off the cruise ships, wonderful meal, easy parking if your an early bird....JUST go and prove for yourself, especially if you love gardens, cricket n roses.
