Neighbours Day 2021

The Team from Neighbours Aotearoa

Neighbours Day Aotearoa on March 20th-30th 2021 has even more ways you can get involved this year! Our theme for 2021 is 'The Great Plant Swap' and if you are one of the first 200 to register with us, we will send you a packet of seeds to get you started!

If you love your annual BBQ, street party or the like - that is awesome! Get in early with your registration and tell us about the event you're planning and we'll send you seeds too! (We are good like that!)

We are also encouraging people to write something about their neighbours, communities and/or acts of neighbourliness with Notes for neighbours - poems, reflections or any sort of note! We will share these on our Facebook, Instagram and website and 5 will be chosen to be made into posters to share across the country.

Check out our website and register your event, big or small today!

🪱🐦 When are you the most productive? 🌙🦉

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post has been diving into our daily habits, and research suggests being an early bird or a night owl isn’t just a choice—it’s biology! We all have that specific time when our brains finally "click" into gear.

This raises a big question for the modern workplace. To get the best out of everyone, should employers accommodate our natural body clocks? This idea is at the heart of the four-day work week and flexible scheduling movements.

We want to hear from you:
1. When does your brain "click" into gear?
2. Would a flexible (or shortened) schedule change the way you work?

Amanda Wills from Anglican Parish of Lower Hutt

🎉 We’re gearing up for our May Book Fair and need your help! We’re collecting good quality books, jigsaws, and puzzles — the kind you’ve loved and are ready to pass on. Drop your treasures at St James’ Church (71 Woburn Road) between 9am–noon on Sat 28 March, 11 April, or 18 April. Let’s fill those tables together! 📚🧩✨
