Have you seen one of these guys in the Hutt? - kākāriki
We took a jaunt out to Matiu/Somes Island on Friday - it's a great outing from Days Bay. Lots of skinks (pic tomorrow) and these guys, the kākāriki, aka red-crowned parakeet. My husband has also seen them up at the Manor Park golf course and another friend said she has seen them up in Maungaraki.
