Clothing buy, swap and donate - self service
Yay I have put out on my front porch some clothes and shoes. A few items are priced (shoes mainly) but all other items are donation OR swap. Sizes mainly 14 -20 but there are a few smaller items. Shoes of all sizes available. All funds raised go to a local (Lower Hutt) charitable trust called Greenstone Doors. Visit www.greenstonedoors.co.nz... to find out more. Just put any donation in one of the paper bags provided and put it in our letterbox (no space under the door sorry). We are at 23 Burnside Street, Waterloo. Can I ask that if you are going to donate any clothes that they be clean and in good condition and that you leave the garment rack tidy? 💨 Wellington: Is the real summer finally here?
It’s the talk of the town (and every coffee queue): the Wellington "summer" has felt more like a very long, very damp spring! 🌧️ We’ve definitely had our fair share of grey skies and raincoats lately.
In fact, The Post reports that our "pretty average" summer has been tough on the local venues and events that usually thrive under the sun. But don't pack away the sunscreen just yet!
The good news? The next couple of weeks are looking a bit more "settled" (the Wellington word for "not a gale-force downpour"). With autumn officially here, now is the time to squeeze every last drop out of the season! ☀️
