Book WOMEN mean BUSINESS Colonial Businesswomen in NZ

Sandra from Normandale

Yesterday Sunday Petone Library had author Catherine Bishop speak and sell her new book. Great crowd, good speaker.
Subject matter is Women in the pre 1900's who were in business.
Catherine is looking for more people whose female relations owned businesses in NZ. Contact Tricia at Petone Library.
Photo is of a 17 yr old Wanganui lady who with her mother ran a hat shop....HOW did she keep her head still with that wig?

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
