Depictions Exhibition - on now at the Odlin Gallery
Hi Everyone, I’ve recently joined a talented group of Lower Hutt artists who meet on Monday nights to paint. Our first exhibition of the year is currently on at the Odlin Gallery until 25 February – And it’s a good one! The Odlin Gallery is 9-11 Myrtle Street, next to Huia Pool, in Lower Hutt. Open daily, 10am to 4pm - free entry. I'm on Gallery minding on Saturday mornings during the exhibition if anyone wants to pop in to say hi, and invest heavily in beautifying your wall, or there is a beautiful selection of professionally hand-crafted cards for around $5 each for the more budget conscious. So, if you are out and about at the pool or visiting the Dowse, put the Odlin Gallery on your itinerary as well.

Wellington’s Te Awe Library on Brandon St will be closing its doors for good at 5 pm on March 1. It’s been the city’s largest temporary library, and now it’s making way for the exciting return of Te Matapihi Central Library!
We want to know: Are you as excited as we are for Te Matapihi’s grand reopening?

John was Mayor, MP and councillor [city and regional] over the years giving his all to Lower Hutt and beyond.
RIP John.
traffic chaos
I note no comments about utter traffic chaos alicetown melling area due to not being able to turn from victoria st on to ewan bridge. You would think council would require 24 by 7 work on such a vital road into lower hutt. what about all the extra pollution due to cars crawling along at 10kmph. I guess council doesnt believe in climate change
