Thanks to the Avalon Fire Service
On Thursday night part of our iron roof decided it wanted to break away and to take flight - not knowing what to do we called the fire service who turned up within 10 minutes. They did a fantastic job securing our roof in such horrible weather conditions. Their efforts are greatly appreciated and we cannot thank them enough for the dedicated service.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
