Looking after their Consumers

Suzzy from Taita

First it was butter - Warehouse $5, Supermarkets $6-$7. Warehouse ended up making their own butter because no one would supply them. And eventually the price came down in the Supermarkets.
Now Sanitarium refuses to sell Weetbix to Warehouse, who have been selling the 1.2kg box for $6 for ages!!!
Really!!!
I’m sure Warehouse still make a profit at $6. It’s all those 69c (P&S price today) that make a difference to my budget.
“Shame Sanitarium, Go Warehouse”
Actually I’ll be deleting Sanitarium products from my shopping list meantime……

Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.

We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️

We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?

Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.

in need of Hydrangeas for wedding

Linda from Avalon

Hello everyone
My daughter is getting married this Saturday 28th February and the venue was battered by the storm and destroyed a lot of the flowers we were allowed to use. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any green white or baby pink hydrangeas in their garden that they wouldn't mind parting with ?
Would be very much appreciated

Thank you
Linda
