The Lower Hutt Women's Centre Board of Trustees is looking for new members to join the governance team! The Centre's vision is to support, encourage, educate and provide a safe space for all women to reach their full potential. The Board plays a key role in realising this vision by guiding the strategic direction of the Centre. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
