WANTED - Bored Youth for Art Classes

Do you have creative kids? then this art class could be one of the most rewarding and satisfying activities they could do these school holidays. Drop your kids off at Petone's Artspace Gallery and while you head off for a coffee morning at one of our fabulous Petone Cafes, we'll guide them through painting their own watercolour of a sunset at Island Bay which they'll be so soooo of.

There's a choice of two, 2 hour workshops on Wednesday 9th October to choose from, 10am ages 7 - 12 or 1pm start for teens. The cost of $25 includes all materials. generously sponsored by Watercolour New Zealand Inc. Just turn up empty handed and pick up your child again after two hours later with their completed watercolour painting to be proud of and a smile of creative satisfaction on their dial.

No previous art experience is required - these workshops are suitable for both beginners and more experienced watercolour artists who would like to fine tune their skills and style. Don't worry about drawing as this will already be done for you to enable us to focus on the joys of watercolour painting. .

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls

ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.

🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.

Remember, banks will:​​
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes​​
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device​​
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.

If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
